Terms of Use

Last updated 3 August 2026

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of hackeracademy.uk and its pages, forms, assessments, downloads, and other website features (the "Website"). By using the Website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the Website.

1. About us

The Website is operated by Hacker Academy Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 10761706. Our registered office is Hamilton House, Mabledon Place, London, England, WC1H 9BB.

You can contact us at info@hackeracademy.uk.

2. Website information

The Website provides general information about Hacker Academy, cyber security services, consultancy, penetration testing, application security, managed services, training, and related topics.

Website content is provided for general information only. It is not legal, regulatory, financial, compliance, or security advice tailored to your organisation. You should obtain appropriate professional advice and assess your own circumstances before acting on Website content.

We take reasonable care when preparing content but do not promise that all information will always be complete, current, accurate, or suitable for a particular purpose. Cyber security risks, technologies, standards, and legal requirements change over time.

3. Enquiries and service contracts

Submitting a form, completing an assessment, requesting a call, or sending an enquiry does not create a client relationship or bind either party to purchase or provide services.

Any cyber security service, consultancy engagement, penetration test, application security test, managed service, subscription, or training programme will be governed by a separate proposal, statement of work, order form, service agreement, or other written contract. If a separate agreement conflicts with these Website terms, the separate agreement will govern the relevant paid service.

Prices, plan descriptions, availability, delivery times, and indicative scopes shown on the Website may change before a contract is agreed. VAT and approved third-party costs may apply where stated.

4. Assessments and recommendations

Website assessments, plan finders, training recommendations, risk scores, and suggested next steps are automated, high-level outputs based on the information you submit. They are intended as an initial guide and are not a full security assessment, audit, certification, professional opinion, quotation, or guarantee of security.

Results may be incomplete or unsuitable if information is missing, inaccurate, or does not reflect your full environment. You remain responsible for decisions made using those results.

5. Permitted use

You may use the Website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict their use of the Website. You must not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, hosting environment, systems, accounts, data, or networks.
  • Probe, scan, test, disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Website or its security without our prior written permission.
  • Introduce malware, malicious code, automated abuse, spam, or harmful material.
  • Scrape, harvest, extract, or systematically reproduce Website content or data except where permitted by law or agreed by us in writing.
  • Use the Website to impersonate another person, submit false or misleading information, infringe intellectual property rights, or facilitate unlawful activity.

We may restrict or block access where reasonably necessary to protect the Website, users, Hacker Academy, or third parties.

6. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, Hacker Academy Ltd owns or licenses the Website and its text, design, graphics, branding, software, assessments, training descriptions, reports, downloads, and other materials. These works are protected by intellectual property laws.

You may view the Website, print or save reasonable extracts for your internal, non-commercial use, and share links to public pages. You must not sell, license, republish, reproduce, modify, or commercially exploit Website materials without our prior written permission, except where the law allows it.

Hacker Academy names, logos, and branding may not be used in a way that suggests endorsement, partnership, or affiliation without written permission. Third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners.

7. Downloads and sample materials

Sample reports, guides, assessment results, and other downloads are provided for information and evaluation. A sample does not promise that every engagement will have the same scope, format, findings, or outcome. Actual deliverables are defined in the relevant written service agreement.

You must not remove notices, misrepresent sample material as work completed for your organisation, or use it to mislead another person.

8. Third-party services and links

The Website may link to or embed services operated by third parties, including booking, accreditation, supplier, and social platforms. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their availability, content, security, or processing activities.

A link or reference does not necessarily mean that Hacker Academy endorses every statement, product, or service on the external website. You should review the relevant third-party terms before using it.

9. Website availability and security

We aim to keep the Website available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or vulnerability-free operation. We may suspend, withdraw, restrict, or change all or part of the Website for maintenance, security, operational, or business reasons.

You are responsible for using suitable devices, browsers, networks, and security controls when accessing the Website. Do not submit passwords, credentials, production data, sensitive personal information, or confidential documents through general enquiry forms unless we have agreed a secure method with you.

10. Responsibility and liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation. Your statutory rights are not affected.

To the extent permitted by law, Hacker Academy Ltd is not responsible for loss or damage arising solely from reliance on general Website content, automated assessment results, temporary unavailability, third-party websites, or events outside our reasonable control.

If you use the Website for business purposes, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, anticipated savings, opportunity, goodwill, or indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Website. Liability connected with paid services is governed by the separate agreement for those services.

11. Privacy and cookies

Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal information. Our Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies relevant to the current Website.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes to the Website, our business, technology, or applicable law. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date. Changes apply from publication and do not retrospectively alter a separate service agreement already in force.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Website terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you use the Website as a business, the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to these terms.

If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory protections and rights available under the law that applies where you live. You may be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom or other jurisdiction in which you live.
